Hi SnowHeads,
Usual story...go on yearly snow trip with mates, but for one reason or another can't pull of a group trip this year. Can't have a season without any snow. So now looking for a group or other single buddy to join up with.
I am a 33 y/o male intermediate snowboarder, piste monkey that loves cruising those blues / reds and the odd bit of more technical stuff.
Run my own fledgling business so need to stick to a fairly basic budget.
Looking to head to the hills 4th / 11th March for a week.
Anyone out there?
Cheers
Phil

Hi Phil,
I too am an intermediate boarder (female 35) looking at solo options as have lost my ski buddies this year!
I had flights booked to Geneva 12th -19th March from earlier this year.
At the moment I am looking at possibly booking the UCPA full time snowboard instruction option in Tignes via Action Outdoors - seems like a good value deal all in - they have said there are good few English speaking solo travellers on the trip so far! Check out Action Outdoors. UK packages allow arrival on the 11th if that suits you better!
Just thought Id help out a fellow boarder! Love the cruisey blues and reds also! Hoping having an instructor guide me around Tignes will be handy in absence of a group of mates this year as well as improving my boarding! Also Tignes should be good for snow given the conditions this season so far!

Hi @essielo,
Will take a look at the Action Outdoors deal, it sounds like a good idea! I have been to Tignes many times and you are right, its a great choice for this season and the Espace Killy has some great terrain.
Cheers
Phil

i am a 31 y.o snowboarder and would be keen to join 1 or more others for a trip early to mid march. i too will be fairly concious of the budget so a place like Austria seems like a good option with great slopes and not too hard on the wallet but open to other options. . there seems to be a few like minded snowboarders here. im going to pm those who expressed interest here already and try and make something happen. if others wanna join let me know. hopefully we can work something out otherwise im going riding on my own.

Hi
Myself and my brother still looking to go 4th March, nothing booked yet.
I'm 34 and he is 32, both good skier/snowboarder. Also looking to go Austria on a budget.
Struggling to find anything and travel agents have said for some reason 4th March seems to be really busy!!

I'm not sure about that. I was recommended that early March is a good time by a hotel owner in Hopfgarten when I was there in January because it is usually pretty quiet after the school holidays. Did u have any particular resort in mind Hannah? U can pm me if u like

Hi Nathan. No we are pretty happy anywhere, as long as snow is good and a bit of apres.
It is usually quieter, however this year seems to be an exception-unsure why.
I will try PM you-not sure how yet.

Hi everyone,
Skier here (sorry!) 36, female, intermediate - also prefer cruisey blues and reds. If you book anything and need to fill an extra bed, let me know!

Hey everyone,
I'm a 33-year old guy from Finland, likewise had the yearly trip with the guys cancelled, so hoping to find some luck here!
I'm quite flexible - I have a few days off work I can spend anytime, and I'd like to go anywhere in the alps except Switzerland (only because I've already seen the Swiss alps 3 times). Early March somewhere in Austria would be optimal, but late March and France or Italy are also good options! Looking to spend 3-5 days at the slopes not including travelling days, but again, this is flexible.
I can handle a black diamond and am not looking for instructors, but I'll have most fun at the intermediate runs. Really just looking to enjoy some long slopes, and anything at the alps is long compared to what we have in Finland so I'm not too picky. I'll enjoy an after-ski beer or two, but not late night parties - wouldn't want to ruin a snowboarding day with a hangover.
I'm new on this forum but I have a profile on couchsurfing, for example, if you'd like to read some before inviting me along. Here: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/juhgu
I don't have a specific budget but of course a group makes more sense financially, and can be more fun. Let me know if you have a spot available somewhere. Cheers!

Hi Patty, thanks for the invite! I have no use for these services however since I'm flying a different route from Finland.
I friend of mine managed to get going after all, so we're going somewhere in the Zillertal area for 16-21 March. If we find a place with extra room, I'll post here. And am open for suggestions if someone knows something about Zillertal accommodation.

thanks - The way meetups work is the hols are arranged but not flights so it would not have mattered at all that you come from Finland as w are meeting a the airport in Italy.
Have a great time in Zillertal (I haven't been myself ...)
Patty
