Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Alpbach Austria ski shop recommendation

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi, I am a beginner in skiing and will be spending a week in Alpbach in early March. I can plough and turn but that's pretty much it at this point. I would like to get my own snow boots and am wondering if anyone can recommend a ski shop with a good boots fitter. Also, can I have an indicator the range of prices I should consider spending as a beginner? I am staying in Reith im Alpbachtal and have a car. Thanks

We use iggys sport shot in the main village. Have used him for years and is very good to get on with. Tbh though i would probably rather get some boots fitted in the Uk

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Maybe a bit overkill for a beginner but there is H&N.

I live in Switzerland. Nothing is cheap here. I read that it is a good idea to buy snow boots and try they out on the slopes and get them tweaked across the week. Thought I would do that since i have a week in Alpbach.

Thanks for Iggys recommendation. Will KIV.

Thanks Telford Mike

Another recommendation for Connys, easy to park too with a load of spaces on both sides just after you've passed the Spar on the way up the hill..

Just watch out for buses coming around the corner if you're reversing out of the right side.. just assuming like, it happened to a friend you see Very Happy
