Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Question about skiis stiffness

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hello,

I'm 21 years old skier. For last 5 years used Head i.XRC 1200 170 cm length (http://www.evo.com/outlet/skis/head-i-xrc-1200.aspx) skiis and now willing to buy new one because these are getting really old and there are problems with bindings. Trying to find something similar to it because I feel comfortable with head i.xrc 1200, I can carve quite easily and mostly skiing on piste all the time.

Now trying to choose between Solomon Crossmax W12 and Fisher RC4 Worldcup RC Pro. Both ~ 170 cm length, 16 m radius, more or less stiff and what I'm worrying about is stiffness. Has anyone any experience with my mentioned head and those two pair of skiis, are they for similar level skier or not.

I know nothing about ski stiffness, but how heavy are you as that will surely make a difference?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I haven't skied either ski but I would expect them to be reasonably stiff but even given that 170cm sounds very reasonable at 75kg. 16m radius is also pretty easy to manage - your not going to be needing to really work the ski to keep it between the piste markers! Very Happy

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Methinks the crossmax w12 is a rather old ski (2007-2010)? - I would be surprised if you could find a shop that stocks them..

None of those skiis are new, both used but still in good shape.
