Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

St Anton Lift pass

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all,

My first trip this season is approaching, though not quite as quickly as I'd like! My very first solo snowboard trip and staying in a Crystal chalet. My first time on a TO chalet as usually I organise a massive trip for friends, anyway...

My flight times look like I'll be able to get a sneaky half day on the mountain before departure and was wondering if those in the know can tell me if St Anton do a 1/2 day morning pass? I can only see 1/2 day afternoons on the price list but I know there are sometimes unpublished prices - e.g. last year in Saalbach I was expecting to pay 30eu for a morning and only got charged 16eu for some reason when using the same lift pass?!?
If not I'd probably be cheaper getting a 7 day pass once the reps have given me an unofficial estimate of pick up for leaving.

Thanks
Joe

I don't any ski resort that offers a morning only 1/2 day pass. The lift system couldn't throw you off the mountain at midday but can only let you use it after 1pm.

Ask your tour rep to get a 7 day lift pass for you instaed of a 6 day pass.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@joe1978,

What welshflyer said. The price of an afternoon ticket is 40 euros. The difference between a 6 and a 7 day ticket is 33 euros.

Ah, there seems to be the option of a "day ticket with refund". Still, if you ski 3-4 hours, the 33 euros is cheaper if you know you are going to ski then.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I've had morning passes at soll and Saalbach. Now I think on I think mayrhofen was a full day and refund job.
I'll sort it out when I get there.
Cheers

You'll need to Register first of course.

There is an hourly ticket if you only want to ski 2 or 3 hours.

You buy the ticket which is full day rate.

The clock starts when you puchase so make sure where are no queues at the lift base so you can ride straight away.

Your be surprised how much you can get done in 2hrs..

Return ticket to any counter and tjey will refund a percentage upto 50% (i believe) . So therefore you can get a couple hours a day on the hill for around €25..
