Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Poster: A snowHead
Heading to Argentiere this weekend and was wondering which areas would be best to head to to get some sking done.Driving from Geneva early saturday morning-would it be worth eg-heading to ski Les Contamines for the afternoon or has this new flurry of snow freshened things up in Argentiere?

@Knee Deep, sister in law claims 20cms in Chamonix this morning. But -11C Skullie not convinced enough to have allowed much opening other than what was already so was anything already open in Les Contamines?

@under a new name, thanks-20cm sounds like a bit of a freshening up.Had read elsewhere on this forum that Les contamines was less icy at the moment.

Argentiere (GM) is probably holding up better than the other areas in Cham as it's north-facing however if it's no good and you've got a car, Courmayeur is much closer than Les Contamines and has good snow at the moment, also, Verbier is roughly a similar drive-time (as Les C.) from Argentiere... (obviously much more convenient to go to Les C. if doing so on the way up from GVA).

Another problem with Les C is that a lot of the punters who've nothing to do in St. Gervais and Megeve will be heading there (if it's good...)

If you really are early on Saturday and organised enough with packing, head to Verbier round north shore and then to Argentiere via Forclaz after skiing.

If you're traveling ski-ready, this is a GREAT plan!
