It's one of our favourite resorts - small but perfectly formed. No good for folks wanting to clock up the miles but an excellent place for beginners (and the discerning).

@altis, to be honest, I've never been. But I recognised the ridge line in the background...been scratching my head for good while trying to work out where the hell I'd seen it before, felt like a remake of Close Encounters of the Third kind over here for a while  ..And then I realised, it's been posted on this thread before, about 40 pages ago, haha.

Yep, the aptly named KuhBar in Lofer. Spent a couple of days there after Christmas. Very quaint resort, super easy piste skiing, good value for money and surprisingly a valley run open down to 630m, which I imagine does not happen every Christmas! When everything is open and the snow is good, I can see the attraction.

offpisteskiing once took us across there and up to the right - I think. Then down to the Avals refuge for a huge omelette. Happy days.
