@shep, Spot on - Avoriaz, well done! I can't remember exactly where it was taken from. I think it might have been taken from the 'Tour' chair lift. I cropped out the village below, that would have been too easy!
The conditions were quite poor that year. At the time of the picture there had only been one snowfall in the previous month, and that snowfall had been several weeks beforehand.
