Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I've just returned from a week in les arc and the snow was surprising better than expected. Condition on the piste were fine, off piste not so much.

I am now looking at going away in two weeks time 8th Jan! Looking at the snow reports I'm struggling to find anywhere with any snow, let alone any considerable dumps!

If it makes you feel any better, I was in Chamonix last year with no particular expectation of a big dump (except after a big night in MBC on the ribs and wings... but that's a different matter) and then it just did it. Dropped the entire world of snow in about 3 days. So don't think that because nobody is saying "it's about to happen" that it won't happen. The season seems to be starting later and later though.
