Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Unsolicited E-mails From SCGB?

Strangely, there seems to be an issue with SCGB e-mailing me for no reason.

Anyone else getting this spam? Never dealt with them for anything, but clearly they have worked out I am target market for them. Well, not quite, I don't own a range rover, no trust fund, and I'm under the age of 50.

Apparently I can join for just £10. I guess they were hoping for some Nissan car keys in the bowl this season.

Interested in where they got my e-mail address though, because it would help before I need to have a chat with them about spam.

If you are not a member someone else has sold them your e mail address, having just had a successful appeal against a company for passing on my address you will need to ask the scgb who gave or sold them your address. You will then have to work out whether this first party has breached date protection laws. It may be something as simple as entering a raffle at the ski show, where, if you had checked the ticket probably said you will be contacted by 'our partners' for marketing purposes.

This may not be a popular view on this site, but the Tea Club will only have done something wrong if they continue to send stuff after you ticking unsubscribe.

@Digger the dinosaur, I know someone who was pretty paranoid and created new email addresses for nearly every website registration. He was amazed how email addresses got passed around, but could usually trace a link back to the original source.

As@chocksaway, mentions, it is almost certainly an missed marketing check box.

I'd probably join for £10 but not £65. They have all day off piste guiding here this season. Is there a link?

No you need to have subscribed to the Swingers & Adult play websites that Digger frequents to get the special lube me up offer.

PS anyone concerned that this thread will raise the ghost of a certain person - can it be set to self destruct?
