Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Flaine Ski School

Hi,

Having booked a week in Flaine from the 18th March, it never crossed my mind that finding all day lessons for my son would be so hard.

ESF only do mornings and ESI have also updated their timetable this season to also just offer mornings.

Have I missed something obvious or am i going to have to top up a few of the days with a private lessone in the afternoon.

We have never had this problem before in Switzerland or Austira, so am annoyed that I didn't check more thoroughly before booking.

Thanks

Mark

There seems to be a problem in Flaine this year as ESI seem to have lost a lot of instructors and therefore could not offer the normal choice of lessons. We have had to change over to ESF for kids ski lessons as a result which also is struggling with capacity. I am surprised that they cannot help you on 18th March as this is not a peak week. However, looking at the ESF it does look like there is no other choice for those dates. I suspect private lessons will be the best options.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

For private lessons try this bloke - lynne stainbrook at www.flaineskiclinic.com. We used him last year and he was great - booked him again for this year!

Grand Massif Aventure are worth a look. A number of the better ESI guys have branched out on their own.
