Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Serfaus or Fiss

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi everyone

Have decided to try Serfaus or Fiss between Christmas and New Year. The hotels are all madly busy but have found somewhere in Serfaus but would need to take the underground train to the lifts.

From experience does anyone know if this works ok?

Also have focused mostly on Serfaus but finding it tricky to tell the difference between staying in the two areas....if anyone could help I would be super grateful. We are a family of 4 so not interested in apreas ski but nice food in the evening and easy of transfer to the mountain.

Thanks in advance....

I stayed in Fiss last Jan. Our hotel was at the entrance to Fiss so some distance to the lifts. But there's those super nice ski lockers next to lifts so no need to carry anything from hotel. Charming village and nice views Smile

I stayed in Serfaus 2 years ago and the train is very efficient, comes every 15 mins at peak times and there are great lockers at the bottom of the lifts so you don't have to carry your skis. It is not a very big village, we walked the length of it in 15/20 mins.

Stayed in Fiss a couple of times. It definitely was my choice for the family base. The final routes down were preferable to the Serfaus side, après still exists it is a little quieter than Serfaus. I would definitely use Serfaus as the base again.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@CeliaCo, the train works really well. Means Serfaus is almost car free. As has been said you can store skis & boots at the Base in Serfaus. All very easy.
