Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski schools and instructors, Flachau HT '17...

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
As the thermometer nudges 30 again, my mind turns to cooler things, and with 21 bods booked up for our group trip to Flachau for the '17 half term we need to sort out some instruction options for the group.

Its a mixed ability group, some young kids, some adults who may want to take some tuition, and there's enough people to keep an instructor busy for at least half a day all week, so a private hire/retainer may be an option.

A quick search shows the Hermann Maier school (thanks Kooky) gets good reviews, but are there any alternatives anyone has?

All ski schools in Flachau are OK. Tried them all (me + my family). Depends on the season and the pressure the schools have to open more groups. Some times they (almost literally) grab any one on the street that knows english and can put the right boot on the right leg. Once had a bad experience mid-week the the instructor went back to universiry and her replacement spoke no english. Had to pull my daughters out becasuse they were miserable. To their credit I must point out, I received a full return. Took them to another school and got an english-speaking lady that was great.
