Line Chronic - 178 vs 185 cm

Hi all!
We're well into off-season now and I'm looking to buy a pair of Line Chronic 2016s. I am looking for some input as to which length is right, and would really appreciate some advice.

Realistically, I think I spend 40% on the steeper pistes, 40% on the flatter parts, 15% in powder and 5% in the park. When conditions allow it I take it to the sides of pistes, for real deep powder (which is rare) I am okay with renting. I chose the Chronics because I want to play around a bit more on the flatter parts and they should still be good enough to ski steep, crud and light powder.

My specs: human Skullie male, age 26, 183cm, 75kg, quite sporty but not athletic.
Experience: 15-20 weeks, 2-3x per year. Comfortable on all blacks, half-decent on powder runs, basic freestyle tricks.
Style: the steeps are my thrills, the flats are my park.


The question: 178 or 185 cm skis?
I am used to 170-175 all-mountain skis; the Chronics are twin tips with bindings 4cm from the center. From what I gather, people recommend 185 for my size, but I am relatively light and I wonder if the extra size/weight would limit me in my tricks/bumps. The difference is subtle, but few places in Europe let me demo the ski at all, let alone in two sizes. Which size would you take in my situation?

Based on the pictures the effective surface (camber part) is 165cm, which should be about right. All I needed was a confirmation from a super snowhead. Thanks! snowHead

I found a good deal on the 185 and ordered it. Let the wait begin...
