Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

ski hire using alpineresorts.com

Has anyone any experience of using alpineresorts.com to book ski hire. I am off to Meribel Mottaret on the 28th Feb and they seem to do the best deal, through Ski Republic. My question is are they reliable and do you get the same skis as you would if you went direct to Ski Republic given that using alpineresorts is some 30 euros cheaper for apparently the same level of ski

No problems using them last weekend in Chamonix - via the link above with discount code. All paperwork was with the store, and my friends were astounded at how cheap it was!

Used them a lot, no problems. Try codes news133 for france and news101 for other countries. Came in slightly cheaper than the snowheads discount when I booked some the other day.

Used them this christmas for a trip to LaRos' for g/friends skis (I took my own). <£50 for gold/black level skis for 6days inc insurance. Was coming up as -50% off shop price, then added the snowhead code and got 55%. When I went in the shop there was some consternation and got passed up the chain of command (3x ending with the manager). Lots of shrugs but they accepted the deal. Got the level of skis I'd booked no problem. Then they asked if I wanted insurance and I pointed out I'd already booked that "Ah, sorry". Then when I paid the remainder they pointed out that they'd had to put in a discount of -82% Shocked to get their computer/till to match up with the deal (paid deposit online and remainder in-store). I said "Is it all OK?" ... "Yes, no problem. Enjoy your skiing. Come back if there's a problem or you want to try a different pair"

Went back on day 2 eve with a gouge in one of them. Walked in and he said "Ah, the cheap skis" and so feeling a bit guilty asked them to wax/edge mine . Expected a big-ish bill in the morning but they'd fixed the hire skis (free due to ins) and charged me just 10euro for the edge and wax... They even let me route through there cellar 2 days latter for an old binding to replace the one I broke. If you're in La Ros' I can recommend Surf Ski/Twinner in Les Eucherts. Great service and a nice hire fleet (even had Whitedots).

We used them in Les Gets last month. The shop was Ski Republic and prices were significantly cheaper using Alpinresorts. I paid a deposit with the balance to be paid in the shop.

When I printed off the receipt I realised that it showed how much I had paid but not the balance. I was concerned that the shop wouldn't honour the price I had agreed. When it came to it, I didn't have any problems but would recommend you get a print of the screen with total prices to take with you.
