Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Yes, you can leave the car in one of the two car parks right at the top of Flaine, on the Col de Pierre Carrée. The free ski bus runs from there back down to Flaine during the day, so provided you get your timing right, you won't need to walk up/down.

If you want to park in the car park just above Flaine Foret it wouldn't be ruinously expensive for 4 days. First 90 mins are free, then €3 for the next 12 hours, and after that I think it is either €6 or €9 per 24 hours. Evenings from 7.30pm to 3.30am are also free, so with a bit of careful planning you could minimise costs.

Thanks for all the info, but change of plan

Its myself and my 15year old son ,there were 2 others but they just had to pull out. If i hurt myself ,we would be stuck getting back to the Airport .So i think the best option maybe book a Transfer

Since his thread is a high hit on Google when you search Flaine parking, I'll update it for 2017.

I'm in Flaine now and can confirm most of those details. The Foret car park is 3e for a few hours, then 6e a day. I left ours there from Saturday until Sunday, them moved it up to the free one at Col de Pierre Carree, which is a short bus ride up the hill. First bus up is at 0835 and the last down at 1815.

The Foret car park was totally full by Sunday evening, being half term it's busy here.

Had a major panic overnight when Barclaycard called me about fraud on my cards and I realised that I left them in the car on day 1 when lightening my wallet for skiing, then forgot to take them when unloading. Visions of smashed windows and long drives down to Carglass in the valley. I also realised I left the toll tag on the windscreen. But no, the car was fine, but I've really emptied it of everything but the dog blanket, and left the glove boxes own show there's nothing worth taking. It is a bit isolated there, though there is a barracks of the 27e Bataillon de chasseurs alpine next to it, which must help with security a little.
