Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

New boots or just new insoles and perhaps liners?

Hi!
I have a pair of Rossignol Bandit B14's, which I had custom fitted at Profeet in London 8 years ago. They have served me fantastically... until last week, where I started getting some rubbing, sore forefeet and my heels were not stable - sore calves too.

I am well over due for another bio mechanical analysis session and new insoles if nothing else - but I was wondering, If I also plump for new inners.... then I'm half way to new boots.

So my question; has boot technology come on at all in 8 years - is it time for an upgrade - or are the B14's still considered a decent boot ?

Thanks for your help!

@zacherynuk, boot technology per se hasn't really changed too much. I'm on my 6th season (2nd set of liners) on my Salomon boots. However,... your skiing may well have. The B14 doesn't seem terribly stiff and you may want something a little more rigid.

But it does sound as though you need new liners anyway...possibly not new insoles

Go see what they say rather than random anonymous internet users.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Cheers for the reply, yep gonna see them anyways, just wondered if there were any breakthroughs... didn't even think about the stiffness, they could be wound tighter than they are set now I think - but I'm a pretty relaxed skiier...
