Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Looking for a bit of advice for a newbie. We will be in St Gervais 16th - 22nd Feb & it turns out that the world cup race is on in Les Houches & from what I can see it ends near to St Gervais. The website says it is free & I think this may be something the kids (12 & Cool would like.
Has anyone been to one of these? are they worth going to & do you thinks kids would like it? If anyone is local & knows how to actually get there from St Gervais that would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance.

@Jonny996, these things are quite fun, once but be aware the traffic and parking will be monstrous (Chamonix Mairie tried to not run it for that reason).

No idea how to get SG to LH bus maybe? Www.rome2rio.com

@Jonny996, The downhill finish is near to the Belle Vue cable car in the Centre of Les Houches.

I went to it a few years ago, the town organized parking a fair way out of the village with shuttle buses to take you right to the finish area then back to your car at the end, I thought it was well run.

I looked up local transport for another thread last month, the bus timetables are on the St Gervais website.
