Hello,
Does anyone have any recommendations on ski schools in Morzine that are good for english kids?
We are going in February 20 th, missing UK half term but same week as French half term, can't be helped! (Paris too!)
Looking at booking up ski schools for our two kids age 9 and 6.
ESF - cheaper than its rivals, and offers 6 days lessons. My main concern is large class size, around 12 some say, and language barrier if classes are full of french kids. Will my kids learn and understand their lessons?
The other contenders are The Snow school, PDS, and Ecole Easy 2 Ride. These offer only 5 days lessons, Prices range from being approx £350 - £640 more than ESF. They state smaller classes approx 8 with english speaking instructors.
Is a smaller class worth spending extra on?
If anyone has any experience I would be grateful to hear.

We were in Morzine a few years ago and booked our son into the Easy 2 Ride morning lessons. We were very pleased with the lessons and the level of instruction. And they did limit the class sizes to 8, no matter how much other parents tried to push them to take their child.
The previous year in St Gervais he was the only English speaking child of 13 in his esf lessons and ended up just following the rest of them from the back; completely disengaged and learning nothing. I did see the instructors trying to encourage him but it was really too little too late. That's what prompted us to change after 4-5 years of using esf. If you're going outside of the UK half term holidays then you're almost certainly going to have very few English speaking children in the esf lessons.
The other thing I noticed was that the ESF lessons in Morzine spent the Friday sessions standing around so they could do their ski test, so that's a day wasted. Easy 2 Ride gave them a normal lesson and awarded them their levels based on their assessment during the lessons, which seems a much better way to do it.
So for me, yes. It was worth it for the smaller classes, the better instruction, engaging lessons and no wasted day for an assessment.
But then we just have the one child and only ever take morning lessons as we ski together in the afternoons. From your comparative costs it sounds as if your looking for all day lessons for two children so the difference does add up. On the other hand you might have saved a bucketload by going out of half term in which case you could view it as being an incidental expense.

You mean BASS I think 
So much choice of really good ski schools in Morzine area you can't really go wrong.
I would add to the list of those already mentioned The Snow Institute, New Generation, Ski Beyond, Avoriaz Alpine.
The Snow School is actually the ESF in disguise!
