Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Lots of interesting stuff here thanks for sharing. re BSM could anyone tell me what /where the 'quartier alpin' is and what the 'centre Renouveau' refers to? Also does anyone have any latest on what is going on with the former barracks?

A sad reminder that the mountains can be dangerous in summer

I just updated the photos so far this summer. Check out the new Summer August 2016 Album to see some of the fun things you can do. Also take a look at the July Album if you missed it.

The weather is great again after the recent storms and there is still snow above 2500m in some places and the glaciers are mostly well covered and fun.

However you need to know what you are doing and be very careful when hiking in the high mountains on the snow and ice as the recent accidents on Mont Pourri demonstrate (very sad for all those involved).

It is a great experience in the high mountains in summer, but I would advise you to take a guide if unsure and stay safe!

On a dull conference call so not much else to do but web cam watch Toofy Grin Embarassed

Notice there are some earth moving machines at the top between Bois lift and Carreley, hopefully looking to put some gradient into the slope, nightmare on a board and consistently freezing there in the winter and not a place to hang about.

The summer season is over in Les Arcs and the lifts are closed. You can now buy your lift passes for the coming winter online. Well as soon as the 'Buy" button works.

All the photos for the summer season have now been posted on my Les Arcs Summer facebook page. Hope you enjoy finding your photos. August has a lot of shots, hard to leave some out.

Take a look in the July and August 2016 albums for all the action this summer. Enjoy!

More news of what will be new for this winter will be posted here as soon as I have more to share. The earth moving mentioned did seem to just be adding soil to the pistes. Not sure how much difference it will make.

Hope you all had as much fun this summer as I did. See you in the winter or next summer!
