Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi all,
I am keen to take a 1 day ski servicing course to brush up on some skills. Can anyone recommend a ski servicing course they have done in the UK which is not too expensive. I am not keen on spending more than £250. Alternatively are there in Ski techs out there willing to offer in sharing their wisdom for a day/few hours for a reasonable fee.
Thanks!

@joeyg, when I asked that question the resounding response was recommending Job at the Piste Office. So that is where I will be doing it.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks @NickyJ and @Sitter . I am based in London, but guess I could make the trip up to Nottingham. Any ideas on what the cost is with The Pieste Office?
Thanks again

Far be it for me to poach any of spyderjons punters, but Edge and Wax's sister company Bootcamp apparently do a course too, and its DAAAAN SAAAAF.
Certified course for £175, home techie course for £100.

I travelled up from London to see Jon at the Piste Office.
Even by public transport with a ski bag it was well worth it. I've been happily edging and waxing my own ski's and those of my mates (for beer, obviously) for a few years now and am well chuffed with the decision.
Made a return trip a couple of years ago for Quiver Killers on some new ski's and was pleased to find the service is still top-notch.
Can't recommend it highly enough.
