Booked in january for next year only to find out new owners not allowing crystal to use it, tried to book independantly and its already booked up through to April !! Shame cos we love going there, ski to door etc.

I was told last week that the present owner is selling the hotel.

It was only announced on tuesday afternoon by crystal on their facebook site, i only found there was a problem when i tried to book for february, tried other companies such as inghans , who it appears use the services of Crystal to get you there, as do igluski , all they said was that they could not confirm a booking ! Does seem that it has been sold and they have not renewed the contract with crystal. We've now accepted the switch to the Relais so cancelling would loose pur deposit i assume.

Crikey. Typical Inghams price hike. I paid £550 to Crystal this March and Inghmas are charging two hundred quid more. Have they upgraded it to a five star from the very pleasant three star it was? Ah seen it is a chalet hotel now - £200 for afternoon tea and free access to the sauna.

Crystal would have been making absolutely no money on it a that price. I would suggest that Inghams , now they are running it as a chalet hotel, are running it to make a profit. after all, isn't that the idea of business?
