To pass those boring summer months on here ...
Work starts today on the removal of 3 lifts in Montalbert and the construction of a new cabin lift.
All the work can be seen on the Montalbert webcam, already this morning the loading end of the stadium drag lift has been dis-mantled.

Having not been out to our place since January I think when we get there this summer we are going to need more than dusters to dust the place down, every truck that passes seems to generate its own dust cloud!

24 seat gondolas. And people will still complain about queues at Penkenbahn. Clever way of loading them though.
Also in Zillertal... another new piste right to the valley in Zell am Ziller (save everyone trying to fill gaps in the midstation for downlift). Why have midstation carnage, when you can have all the n00bs creating carnage on the steep narrow slushy black? Rollercoaster all ripped up for an access road though afaict.
And if I read it right... in Arabba... the lift across town *might* actually be happening? Not seen webcams yet.

@Hamish, I didn't think the Penkenbahn was that old but just looked in my ski diary and it was built about 20 years ago - I went in 1996 and it was new then
