Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

If you mean really in Summer, then Hintertux is pretty much your best option.

Stubai up until late June, and is it L2A in France that also has a summer glacier?

Hintertux is generally accepted as the most extensive summer option. But I would not plan to be there after mid July to end of August, there can always be exceptions, but unexpected high summer pow is best exploited by last minute planning.

I have been to Tux most summers since about 1992 and have found it to offer the best glacier conditions.

Saas Fee, think winter season closes tomorrow, reopens again in July for summer. Not sure on summer extent versus Hintertux but its pretty reliable so I'm told and very nice village. Keep thinking of going there or Hintertux in the summer but still not made it yet.

Oh, have been to Kitzsteinhorn (Kaprun) mid June a few years back and it was good then but know it suffers / closes earlier than some of the others. It had been a good season that year so snow was still impressive.

We did L2A a few years ago. It was good fun and would deffo do it again, but having said that - don't go thinking you'll have the same experience you get in the winter. Piste skiing is pretty meh - hardly challenging unless you're absolutely sold on boilerplate ice transitioning into slush/open rivers by lunchtime. Park is fun though. Weather does play a big part of it - lifts were closed on two out of the six days we had. Plenty of other stuff to do locally during the summer though so would recommend it.

If you're a boarder then Onyx do a summer freestyle camp in L2A. Ride the park in the morning then other stuff in the afternoon including a bbq. Never been myself as I'd rather stick out the summer then go in the winter.

Supposed to be interesting. Stunning drive to get there - avoiding the millions of middle aged men in lycra cycling up
