Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Single parent Val D'Isere 8th March

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I've booked a ski holiday through esprit for just me and my young daughter on a bit of a whim. I'm used to going in groups, and although I love skiing solo, the thought of being the only singleton at the dinner table is a little daunting! Is there anyone else headed to chalet hotel ducs de savoie this weekend?

@Canuck, when we went with esprit to Courchevel there were several parents who were out as a single parent. I suspect you won't be alone. Hope you guys all have a great time.

 Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Canuck, Welcome to Snowheads.

The Ducs de Savoie is a "reasonably" sized chalet hotel set back from the main road pretty close to the centre of Val D'Isere. I stayed there a few years ago with my son. Quite sociable really. We ended up dining with a fair sized group on a "social" table. No need to sit on your own. Is your daughter eating earlier in the evening or will she be dining with you?

BTW..... not sure if it's still the case but after trawling round a few bars in Val' it turned out that the cheapest place for a beer was the Ducs own bar in the basement Laughing Laughing
