Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Forgive me, was he not trying to make it slide? looked like he was from the lines he was taking (at least my first reaction was he's some kind of avalanche starter guy, just having more fun that chaps with sticks)

Just to pick up on this, I suspect that almost 100% of skiiers ski for up to 10 hours per day, there can't be many doing more than 10 hours, the lifts aren't open for a start. Unless you mean something entirely different, but 2/3 don't ski for more than 10 hours a day. I skied for zero hours today, which is still "up to 10 hours"

@Mistress Panda, indeed, that bit of information is expressed very badly. The full quote is ...

Quote:
The lure of the powder keeps over 50 per cent of skiers and boarders out on the snow for 3-5 hours a day, while a more energetic 33 per cent practice their piste performance for up to ten hours a day.

So up to 83% ski for up to ten hours a day, what are the other 17% doing? More than ten hours? Even the source text is shabby imo.

Or perhaps the 17% ski for less than 3 hours per day.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

How about posting that stuff in snowHeads direct, if you wish us to see it? Some sH don't use Facebook - others, as in my case, may not have access to those Facebook pages. You wouldn't wish to be thought of someone who posted here just to pimp your Facebook site, would you? Very Happy

I'll give you a clue. His surname isn't Clegg. That's absolutely as far as I go.

Just one other clue - he changed his sH username by 'skeed pole' from his real name, some years ago.

Alright then ... his name's 'Nick Achilles'.
