Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

La Rosiere - Choucas run

Does anyone know why they've got rid of Choucas (or most of it) in La Rosiere? We were nearly late collecting the children from ski school in les Eucherts on the first day of our holiday because we'd expected to get straight back from the fort. Had to pole along Lauzes (?) instead. Probably should have looked at the piste map first but having been several times before assumed it would be there!

@reh_stuff, Lauzes is a bit flat, but should only have added a few minutes on to your trip. I don't know officially, but can pretty much guess why most of Choucas has gone. It was the most dangerous piste I have ever skied as it was a heavily used run and crossed 4-5 pistes. A most bizarre setup.
The resort now has 4 x High speed chairs (as opposed to the 2 of a couple of years ago), more beds and is getting busier. It sounds like a good move to me as the resort is much safer.

Less poling if one stays in La Rosiere rather than Les Eucherts.

There shouldn't be any need to pole along Lauzes, it goes OK on a snowboard!

I know that the guys at Evo2 in La Ros are not happy. They find the run an ideal route for getting kids and newbies experience. Now they have to take faster blues to get back to La Ros. I know Choucas crosses several other runs but even at peak periods I never experienced an issue with it.

Little Miss H is only 6 and I was hoping to use Choucas over NY. Oh well, we had fun going Tetras instead Smile
