As you are in Huddersfield have you not called at Robinhood watersports and checked out the sweet protection helmets they have with great price reductions? They are based in heckmondwaite.
On which to get has to be green, less need to keep stopping

Ooooo I like 1, 2 and 4. Current helmet is black and my theory is it absorbs heat and makes me sweat even more. The key factor is maximum ventilation. Green is a bonus.

All I can say is u need a helmet fast , because I think u must of banged ya head, if you actually have to ask on a forum what colour u need to buy ?

Definitely grey. Not that keen on the shape with the peaked look, but that's a personal opinion. Otherwise, finitely grey. Don't they do it in charcoal or black or something nice?

I back the view of a trip to Robin Hood and a purchase of a Sweet helmet, on the basis they fit you, the trooper is a narrower fit than the Rooster or rambler
|

Helmet shopping has just been put on hold as radiator sprung a leak on car and gobbled up my helmet fund and some. Need to wait until next month now

@smagsmith, Sorry to hear about your vehicular cooling malady.
I was just reading your video thread and one consideration when purchasing kit could be that, if you want feedback on video footage of your technique then get at least one brightly coloured bit of kit, be that helmet, jacket, sallys, sack, so you can be easier identified.
Just a thought from watching the vid. Also hog the limelight & then edit everyone else out

I would prefer the Green one if I was going to buy a matching jacket anyway. But maybe consider what matches your googles best as well, unless they're black and match with everything

Ended up buying a white (reflect the sun) smith vantage. Love it. Vents my hot head really well. Great helmet.

@smagsmith, Good choice. Green seemed all wrong to me. Ski helmets should be white, black or grey. Although I have to admit I think white is probably the girly option, but then maybe you are a girl. In this virtual world nobody knows and nobody cares.

The idea of a green helmet turns me off slightly. Mind you a green helmet is less likely to get sweaty
