Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Help, it's ages since I bought a board!

 Poster: A snowHead

So first day in resort and old board is terminally broken.

So I'm in resort and want to buy a new board, especially as euro rate is a good un, but I'm a bit out of touch with what brands are well thought of, reliable etc, currently renting a lib tech, which previously hadn't heard of but I've had a great day on it,

So what do people regard well? I'm a big fan of off piste and powder (isn't everyone?) but happy cruising pistes if conditions dictate,

Any comments appreciated

Welcome , Lib tech do good kit as do GNU and Never Summer I would always go Never summer , and depending if u can get one where u are a Never Summer Proto HD would suit u . great all round board , has magnatraction edges, carbon strings amd hybrid base

I been riding over 10 years and sold all my boards except my pure park/ dome board and use this now

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Just for the record NS do not use Magnatraction. They use what they call vario power grip, which personally I prefer.

@CornishBoarder, your choice in resort is likely to be limited - sod all decent board shops out there in my recent experience. Burton is everywhere as usual, though they have a system which means you have to buy their bindings as well. There's a lot of Apo and Bataleon about in France, places which stock Quiksilver will have Gnu/Libtech and if you're lucky you might find K2, which are consistenly good. I fancy Never Summer's Infinity for next season, but I'm going to have to hit the interweb for it because I'm never going to find one here.
