Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

THREAD REQUEST: Les Houches & Chamonix

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hello - Due to our odd group, we've been sort of forced into a corner and had to book an apartment in Les Houches 24th - 31st December. Crapping my pants about the snow level.

If there's anyone there, or has a decent forecast could they post updates on the weather? I can't find a thread for this area and I can only see one webcam at the top of Prarion.

Thanks Puzzled

its too early to worry about it really, but right now conditions are good. It could still go either way though!

there will be skiing over christmas, how good it will be anyones guess though. probably wont know until the week before Smile

chamonix meteo is probably the best source of forecasts Smile

as @eddiethebus, says, www.chamonix-meteo.com

Even if Les houches is green fields, there's always been at least some skiing at Argentiere, 30-45 mins up the valley, by bus (number 1, I think twice an hour at that time of year) or car.

Thanks for the link guys. If you had to pick, would you go Les Houches (annoying access to Chamonix) or Les Coches (easy access La Plagne/Les Arcs)?

We're a group of 2 beginners and 2 intermediate snowboarders.

@gsmyth555, Les Coches definitely. Do you mean a different week to the one in your OP, when you say you've already booked an apartment in Les Houches? Or am I misinterpreting? snowHead
