We're off to Madonna Di Campiglio on Saturday. Technicaly we're flying on Friday buut driving up there on Saturday morning.
Looking at the cams I'm not overly worried about a lack of snow although there is a small amount forcast but it isn't much.

Went to Pre La Joue (Chatel) on Saturday - Only open above Pierre Longue and Combe / Cornebois.
No queues, fresh snow on Rochassons, but poor visibilty until 14h30 (due to it snowing).
40% off lift ticket as only 6 runs open (EUR14.90) - Can't really grumble.
Sunday will be CARNAGE though as all the guests arriving in Morgins / Chatel / Abondance will be vying for those 6 runs, so a stroll along the lake front in Evian is the order of the day.

Off to Zermatt on Saturday... Glad we chose there when booking 2 months ago. Nearly booked into Les Gets.
By the looks of things, there are enough pistes open, but likely to be crowded. On the plus side, the Matterhorn bathed in sun should look great.

Off to La Rosiere on Sunday. Tad nervous about lack of snow. Forecasts keep changing from good to just a couple of cms. Got some newbies coming this year and really hope they get to see the resort with lots of snow. Still time for a few good days of snow before we arrive.

Don't worry about la ros my brother is there this week and although it's not got huge amouts of snow he says it's fine higher up the link over to italy is open and there's plenty of snow that side. I can't wait to get out there sat and whatever the conditions are we'll enjoy it.

Heading down on Saturday night and will be reporting for duty at Isola 2000 as soon as the snowpocalypse ends and they manage to splode the risky avalanche bits and open the road. Can't get chains on the car so it's gonna have to wait till quattro and summer tyres is good enough...

Looks OK higher up as you say and La Thuile is looking good. Fingers crossed the snow over the weekend will arrive, even if just a little bit.

Haha no worries mike the photos he's sent me look pretty good and with the temps dropping towards the weekend they'll fire up the snow cannons. If you see a snowboarder with a bright yellow jacket come and say hi.

Champoluc tomorrow! Arriving in plenty of time for the Christmas Eve dinner in our hotel. Optimistically taking fat skis... but have to say the only fat thing on the mountain over the next 10 days may well be me...10 days, 4 star hotel, half board, Italy...

But it's rubbish, it has snow, the slopes are not crowded and there are no queues... really bad, so don't go there!!!

Off to the north Kent Alps. With all the doom mongering, we'll probably have more snow than the other Alps. Kent county council road clearing can be overwhelmed by 1mm snow with prior met office forecast.
