Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

True.

But the message I received from that video was, get an ABS and you're golden.

Not, I made a massive and potentially life ending decision.

It's difficult to define a mistake. It's risk assessment. Sometimes you simply can't know you made the wrong call until it's too late. And the only safe way to avoid that is to not ski off piste. She was really clear that the pack doesn't change her decision making. I wouldn't want to rely on ABS. My favourite was "for me, after this, the day cannot continue" which meant she had to go home and change her pants.

@Mike Pow, I got a different message, my version of hew message:

I am highly experienced and I believe that I understand the mountains.
Even so I made a mistake.
The airbag saved me from what could have been a terrible situation.
I recognise that I am fallible, and that one day I could make another mistake, or could just be unlucky (rungsp note: sometimes it might just be bad luck)
I will always wear an airbag just in case.
