Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Geneva Train Station to Morzine

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi,

2 of us are arriving into Geneva train station and then onto Morzine on 31 jan - is anyone aware of any transfer companies that offer shared transfers from here? or is it perhaps easier to get to the airport from the train station and book one of the many shared transfers from here?

alternatively, anyone else arriving into geneva train station on 31 jan circa 8pm and departing 7 feb around 8am that would be interested in sharing a transfer?

thanks in advance.

@Is it that time already?, i think most of the transfer companies will pick up from the station. Otherwise it's less than 10 minutes to the airport.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Transfer companies will, but possibly pick you up first and then head to the airport to collect other passengers, which will delay your journey.

Trains to the airport are frequent and efficient, and there's plenty of places for a coffee without getting worried about exactly where to meet your driver. Think that would be your best option.

@matteevan90, efficient, yes, frequent, not so very much. Sometimes, 30 mins between. But that's maybe a better option. Always have a cheeky one in les Brasseurs. Although with luggage Montbrillant or the station pizza restaurant/bar maybe easier.

We ask most clients to meet at the hub cafe, not all that practical when arrivals fills up and its the first one out the reclaim exit. Assuming we're using the same parking area as last year your driver will wander through the train station, but that involves a few phonecalls to locate each other.

@matteevan90, given the distance involved, even if it does mean that train arrivals retrace their steps, that you'd insist on a single meeting point.

yes they seem to do private transfer from train station only but €190 each return seems expensive compared to say €70 from the airport in shared transfers. i thought a couple might just swoop by the train station before going onto the airport, just saves the hassle of getting to the airport. skiidy only do private transfers from the train station apparently.

thanks for the responses!!

Saturday traffic, id prefer to be straight out the airport and onto the motorways than down to the gare and back out again.

Can't remember the rules on plugging companies, feel free to message if you want to sort something out from the airport and I'll get it booked in for you.

Given the Geneva traffic hell that's probably a good deal.

TBH 5 percent of clients arrive by train at cournevin so not at all each anomie to offer shared transfers. The train to the airport is every 10-15 mins from where you can get a plethora of shared transfers.
