I have two places spare in a 6 person apartment for Christmas.
Travelling by Minibus - Eurotunnel on Friday night 19 Dec. Returning Saturday night 27 Dec 2013.
Cost £420 - includes, Transport, Accommodation and Lift Pass for Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Zugspitze in Germany, Erwald and Lermoos in Austria.
If you need skihire, it will be at your own expense.
We usually chip in €50 for communal food.

@Flying Tomato, according to the description those flats are in Oberau, not Garmisch. Oberau is about 10Km outside Garmisch, so you are going to need cars to get to the ski area from there. Just sayin...

@Steilhang, Thanks for pointing out the obvious, if you read the initial post, we are going by minibus and will travel to the slopes each day. Staying in Oberau results in such a low price.

@Flying Tomato, always willing to oblige. One of these days I'll learn to read properly, although I did understand that you were travelling by minibus to get there from GB, not that you would be travelling by minibus every day... Anyway, Oberau is a nice enough place. Enjoy.

I am a 28 y/o male teacher. I’m a reasonably competent skier of 20 years, red/blues and blacks for a challenge! Looking to go for 5-7 days form the 22nd onwards, and need to be back for the 5th Jan.

Off-Piste at Lermoos was an unexpected treat today. Then got home to find that the Zugspitze has opened more runs today, so Glacier it is tomorrow.

@Flying Tomato, yes, they opened up the Weisse Tal today I think. Good to hear that Lermoos has good cover. I feel a trip coming on.
@stewart woodward, yup, the cabel car ride from the German side is really impressive. 2000m vertical with just one pilon. They are going to completely rebuild it next year. Can't let the Austrians have a more modern cable car can we?

Crafty Germans/Austrians have been saving the best till the end of the week.
All but the lowest run open on the Zugspitze. Fantastic carving snow, fast and firm under ski.
Ehrwald have just opened their higher slopes for tomorrow.
So spoilt for choice.
