Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Request for info to any fellow snowheads in the know. Is there a free ski bus that runs between Landry and Vallandry or any other lifts that give access either to Les Arcs area or La Plagne area? Thanks

Hi - there is indeed.

Landry - Peisey details here: http://www.peisey-vallandry.com/hiver/navettes-bus.html#.VFn6i8mDy00

Landry - Les Coches here: https://www.altibus.com/documents/gares/21/navettes.pdf

Those are the only two I know about but happy to stand corrected if anyone else knows more.

@Snow and Sunshine, Thanks for those links. Very useful.

The first link is from last season. If you have time please can you find the link for this seasons timings when they put it online.

@thefatcontroller, Looking good on both sides of the Vanoise Express. Hope it stays this time and starts to give a base for the winter.

"Is there a free ski bus that runs between Landry and Vallandry or any other lifts that give access either to Les Arcs area"

There is also the free ski buses from Landry up to Plan Peisey/Vallandry. They ran last seaon, but no timetables are available yet for 2014/15.

Bit of a mystery as to why both the free navettes and the pay for navettes do the same journey, perhaps you have to be in ski boots to be allowed on the free service!

@snowcrazy, The higher altitude ones currently switched on today are - http://laplagne.livecam360.net/rochedemio
http://laplagne.livecam360.net/grande-rochette
http://laplagne.livecam360.net/bergerie
and http://m.webcam-hd.com/webcam-station-montchavin/webcam-montchavin-bijolin

They are only likely to be on when they have power to them so it could be pretty hit and miss until the start of the season.

All the webcams in the villages are usually switched on throughout the year

@roguemazza, you need a screen capture program. I suspect it's included in many OSs but if you've an older Windows try MWsnap3.

Here's a quick knock together of the whole panorama. I'll try to make a netter effort when I have time.

Edit: I've made a better job now - same link.

I am embarrassed to admit it was 14 year old who taught me. I use a windows laptop. I have often used 'print screen' function but it is messy. he was watching me do this and he said why are you not using the snipping tool. Its genius and I think on all windows laptops. In the bottom left of the windows box search for 'snipping tool', this allows you to cut anything out of your desktop and save as a jpg. genius, Gave my 14 year old a slap round the head for being a smart a*se and clever dick though.

I have the sniping tool pinned to my task bar. It is one of the more useful add-ons that Microsoft developed. Very Happy

@thefatcontroller, @Gaza, Thanks guys. I did not have it open, but after a search I found it loaded and hidden away so have now opened it and put it in the little box down the bottom of my browser.
Just tried it out with a pic of today over on the Les Arcs thread and on my facebook page. Hope it stays there when I close now. Great help. Thanks

Snowing at the moment higher up with heavy snow forecast this afternoon and evening. More snow forecast for Monday, about 30cms in total over the next few days.
The visibility doesn't look great on the webcams at the moment but, by Tuesday morning, it should look good.

It won't work as that is a web page with a set of images in them not a standalone image

The correct way to do it would be to right click on the image in the twitter page and take the photo url and put here with image tags and then put a link to the twitter page as respect to the original post

@boredsurfin, Right click on the image in the Twitter page and it gives you an option for the photo url. In the one here it is https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B2jhf0oCEAAjnjF.jpg

The put the img tag to it
