Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

But it will be the mildest Haloween, at least in the south this year. 21 degrees they say.

@reded78, @Rob Mackley, will defintely be mild for a few weeks now as I have just switched the tyres on the car. I always try to do the switch about now because if it does get cold and snowy the garage then has no time to sort my tyres. Chicken and egg.....

I'm sure they said this last year and we had a boring mild wet and dreary winter.

Normally in Derbyshire we would expect 8-15 days of snow cover every winter, last year we had 2 separate afternoons. In the winter of 2010-2011 we had 64 days.

Darlington had one night of snow this year and it was a miniscule amount, which didn't cause any icy conditions.

The Express predicted a winter to end all winters this time last year too. rolling eyes

Fingers crossed they're right. I want to make the most of my Yad Moss season ticket. I think they only opened once or twice last season. Had to drive up to glenshee to get my slide on. Very Happy
