Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Folgarida - gondolla non skier.......

Hi all
Off to folgarida in January, we've been before but will have a non-skier with us (going to see mountains for first time and chill out in the spa!) does anyone know of you can buy some sort of pedestrian pass for the gondolla up to mid-station instead of having to buy a full lift pass??

Yes you can.

You can either wait until 12 and buy an afternoon pass or you can buy a 1 hour pass.
This can't be done on line so you'll have to go to the lift pass office which is in the main building at the bottom of the cable car.

Or you can take the free (with your hotel card) bus round to Madonna and take the Groste lift (bus stop outside) up to the top or get off half way (there a café at each stop). You can have lunch there and the skiers can ski down and meet the other who came down by cable car at the bottom.
