Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Independent Review of the BSS Olympic Selection Procedure

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
What do you think? was the Sochi selection procedure fair and equitable in the Olympic spirit?

Be interesting to see what comes of this "review" wonder if there will be any formal response or detailed changes for the next Olympics for Alpine racing in particular

gryphea, The selection criteria for Vail have been published, the alpine ones look about right to me.

I read that criteria as finishing in the top "two or three" (2/3 ) - it was only when I got to the bit about how they'd done in actualite, that I realised it meant the top 66%... Embarassed

I'm not sure "there were no appeals" is a valid reason to feel good about the selection criteria. However, the conclusion - communications with the athletes and their coaches needs a serious improvement - was robustly worded and would appear valid given the noise here and elsewhere.

And no, I'm not convinced it is in " the Olympic Spirit" as originally envisaged - albeit today's world is very different.
