Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Run red 80 into/out of Samnaun / Ischgl + night life

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We are going skiing/snowboarding next march and thinking of stay at Samnaun Dorf as they seem flexible the days you can stay

Whats run 80 like back to the town ,does it flatten out ,do you have to walk any part and the same from the town down to the lift

Also are there any bars in the area for one or two drinks after dinner

thanks

wasley,
I have stayed in Samnaun but not Dorf though quite a few years back, recently we have stayed in Austria.

Run 80 is a fairly straightforward red run it does flatten a bit , to get back to town you can do most of it without poleing .if you pick up speed on the Schuss most people on boards end up walking a bit. Between Dorf and the lift is fairly flat and involves poleing /walking though there are buses as an alternative as well.
As I say I didn’t stay in Dorf and can't really comment on the bars though I imagine the hotels will have some as there are several hotels , how lively they are I don't know.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

wasley, as T Bar, says
They sometimes close the run pm if its getting very slushy, parts of it are exposed to the sun all day if the weathers good
Its easy to get down via the cable cars though
We have never did the run late in the day as we have always stayed on Ischgl side
There are a couple of narrow bits but a wouldn't think it would be as much "fun" as the runs into Ischgl post 3pm Shocked
As T Bar, states a bit poling may be needed near the lift station. We have managed without a couple of times in the past but not often
