Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

There are 2 hotels with spa facilities Pinnacle lodge and the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel and conference centre (prev called the Delta). Pinnacle lodge is just below the village centre is seem nice, we have eaten there a couple of times heard good things about it from people staying there no swimming pool but has a spa . The Grand is in the centre lifts just outside, skiing back no problem. Grand has a pool and outdoor hot tubs full spa facilities.
The coast, fireside lodge and hearthstone are all across the skislope (its the skiway through town) from the Grand and you can pay for the spa (you could last year).
Pinnacle lodge is hotel rooms only Grand has everything from a hotel room to a 3 bed apartment, the apartments were called the delta residencies not sure on the current name. They are well equipped, lovely kitchens some have balconies 2-3 tvs cable tv not sure on the wifi only used wifi in the lobby.
The Condos around town are often a short walk to the lift or home but you get way more than in French apartment.
Most have private hot tubs full kitchen and laundry in the apartment.
We have been going for 12 years so what does your wife want?
There is an out door swimming pool in town, skating rink should be a new one this year, the tubing is next to the grand hotel.
PM me if you want more information we have 12 years going to Sun Peaks.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

The ski school provide lessons in powder skiing.
The classes will be small by french standards, any thing from 2 up to 6 people. The ski hosts are worth skiing with they have 2 hosting sessions a day 9am and 1pm they are local skiers or boarders. Some days the host might be Nancy Green.
They have cut some new runs this summer, and cleared some of the pine beetle afflicted trees to make some more gladed runs.
Stay away from the chocolate shop, it will cost you a small fortune!
The pizza shop is well worth the very short walk from the Grand. Jardine's is good for ski hire.
Cinnamon buns are only for sharing they can be found at the cafe on the mountain mid morning best eaten warm.
If you want a rest from skiing snowmobiling is good you drive round the logging roads away from the ski resort out to some frozen lakes.
The dog sledding has you running behind a sled round the golf course.

There are not many lifts but there is alot of choice from each lift. They don't piste all the runs every day and some times the best powder is on the non pisted runs or in the trees and gladed bits.
The mid station on burfield is interesting

You can check the prices on the resort web site the price's are on there. We got season passes in May. The price has gone up now but may be worth it for you and your son as you also get some money off ski lessons? Puzzled Not sure on that.
