Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@Scarpa, those are the places on the track as we link from Pichl into the main system aren't they?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Samerberg Sue, Those are the correct ones I believe, we passed them a few times last season. They look pretty handy for the slopes.

A quick question for those on the know...
Looking at booking a TO trip to Schladming with OH and was wondering how connections are to other resorts along the Ski Amade?
In particular to Flachau/Wagrain looks a good size area for a day trip or two?

Cheers
Joe

@joe1978, I agree Flachau/Wagrain is good for a couple of days (or more, but I would say that wouldn't I wink ), but as @turms says it will need a car or a taxi. there is no direct bus, you'd have to change somewhere (dunno where, always drive)

If you are a really good skier, then consider this option.
If not i think Schladming and the other 3 connected resorts, will be enought (at least they are for me)
On the other hand if you are really good, and love freeride you could visit Dachstein Glacier and make a few freeride turns...
Maybe from Schladming you could find ski bus for the Glacier...

After all it is free Go on u know u want to!

Thanks for that folks, it kinda confirms what I thought.
We're both snowboarders but if there's no direct route we'll probably just stay central then....gives us an excuse to go back later on!
Glacier is an option but I have an aversion to all thing drag lift so I'll play that one by ear! lol

@turms, not sure why you would bother to go up to the Glacier for off piste. Is is pretty limited up there unless you are a pretty brave tourer!...

You can get a bus to Dachstein or Ramsau from Schladming but I wouldn't worry about it!

A cab will cost about €20 - 25 each way to Flachau.
It is possible to do it via the ski busses and ski legs.... but I'm not sure on the time-value to it all....
Schladming to Reiteralm (ski link)
Reiteralm to Radstadt (bus link)
Radstadt to Radstadt lift then ski link to Altenmarkt - bus to Zauchensee, ski link to Flachauwinkl, bus to Flachau....
or Radstadt change bus to a bus to Flachau/Wagrain or Zauchensee...

I said it was possible but that taxi is looks inviting wink
