I'm pretty sure that the failure guy was my friend Ben....I think I owe him an explanation:
I borrowed his skis a couple of weeks ago and wound the DIN on them back to my setting, we are the same boot size though.
I guess he didn't bother to check the DIN, well they are his skis

I've done that before on the start ramp at Castleford when SL training; we all laughed loads (including me).

fantastic week of training this week! Great weather and piste conditions. A full set of coaches after BASI trainer selection duties last week and we had training lanes to ourselves so the coaches could set some very interesting and tactically difficult courses with the SL and Tech group getting some good turns in as well. Video review and timing the last few days and today partnered up with a local team and used their course on a different steeper section to really mix it up. Shattered but looking forward to Friday.
Jimmer is looking v v good at the moment....

@kitenski, No not close but had a breakthrough day and my times came down today finally.... Might even get the girls time one day  More than a few in the camp are looking solid and one beat a Junior Europa Cupper today.

Major drag as just had an email from ADH saying that they will decide in the next two days whether the test will be run due to no snow... Lot of people training for this one and rough if it is cancelled...

Me too. I heard in a previous year of no snow the test was run on the glacier at adh. Don't know how long ago that happened, wonder if it has receded too much since?

Craig, the C in JJC, suggested I wear two sets of large, football, shinpads.
One pair on forearms, one pair on upper arms.
It made no difference...I wasn't close enough to the gates!
A Stealth under jacket is shockingly expensive....but if you are a serious racer, vital.

The pads on my suit combined with hard forearm guards seem to do a good job, though a spot on my lats just where my back protector ends has been pretty tenderised.
