Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi,
I managed to pick up some K2 skis with Salomon bindings at the weekend in oxfam! they are great but... The bindings are a little too far apart for my boots, they are probably only around 1-2 cm off.
Does anybody know anywhere cheap and/or trustworthy where I can get the bindings remounted in a better position in or around Manchester?
Thanks

Try Ventura ski in St Helens - actually 5 mins off the motorway on a country road - very helpful there

Thanks, I will ring sail and ski and ventura, I didn't really like snow & rock when I went in, they were a bit too hard sell on things that I told them I didn't want.

Are they too far apart even after adjusting them?
Most bindings can be adjusted over a good few boot sizes, normally Salomon have a flat tab at the back of the heel piece just under the screw for adjusting the release tension and you just use a screwdriver (flat head ) to lift this up slightly and slide the heel piece forwards and backwards.
Other point to think about though if bought from Oxfam the bindings may need a check/service to make sure they are still working fine.

Place above in St Helens or Rivington Alpine in Bolton.
