Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The following message has been posted on epicski.com by Lisamarie, who is a longstanding member there. I thought some of the snowHeads may be interested in offering their experiences on this topic.

I'm happy to forward her the entire thread if people answer; of course anyone interested can register on epicski and PM her directly there. Please don't send PMs to me though, I'm only the messenger!

"I am in the process on writing an article for TPS about the way message forums have influenced ski instruction. The article was originally supposed to be about Epicski exclusively, but TPS wanted to expand on the topic.

If you have had any good experience either with :

Taking a lesson from an instructor you "met" on ANY ski forum.

Passing a PSIA exam as a result of forum conversations.

Making a good equipment choice as a result of online conversations.

post here, or send me a PM.
Thanks!"

You gonna tell 'em about all the drinking you didn't do? You'll fit right in with those gang members.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Took lessons from Masterclass in Alpe d'Huez last time out as a result of lots of very positive recommendations on Snowheads - they were absolutely great and since I've returned I've mentioned them several times here. Don't know whether that counts as "an instructor I met on the forum" but I certainly wouldn't have tried them out if not for Snowheads and they were absolutely great!

My wife and I went off-piste ski guiding/instruction with Graham Austick and Tom in St Anton (Piste-to-powder) and had a great time. Recommended here by DB - thanks!
