2mm Difference In Binding Position!!

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hello everyone

First time poster here on SH - Great site

I recently purchased a pair of new skis - Rossignol Experience 84 HD with bindings a few weeks ago, I gave them a once over and all seemed fine, on closer inspection one of the front bindings is 2mm further away from what I assume is a "centre mark" than the other one - should I be concerned or is that acceptable and I am worrying over nothing?.

Many thanks for any advice offered

Welcome to Snowheads. Can't help with the 2mm problem though. snowHead

A quick (and rough!) calculation suggests an error of around 0.01%. I don't think you'll notice it.

 Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@Fish_Head, I really don't think you'll notice.

If you do notice it you are probably sensitive enough that you need to have your delta of your bindings adjusted and the mounting point micro managed. And possibly the soles of your boots planed.

Try measuring them from the tip. The top sheet print might not be accurately placed and the fitter measure and corrected for it.

I measured from the front of the front binding to the tip of skis and there is a 1mm difference

The "centre mark" (my description) looks like a machined groove going across the ski, it is this that has the 2mm difference with the rear of the front binding

Looks like either way its nothing to worry about

Thanks to you all for putting my mind at rest Smile
