admin, Good enough for me, must admit to wondering the same as Fatbob when it became obvious a troll was paying a visit particularly as Chamonix Mont Blanc is a rather prominently featured sponsor of a certain website! Oh well the troll seems to have left, lots of fun was had feeding it while it was here though!

Then you can post your own questions or snow reports...

Better than Birmingham was! Again wouldn't have paid full price but was worth a fiver on a day I had to be in London anyway.

CEM, can't say it was good. Though haven't been to NEC to compare. Very much scaled down version this year, lots of gaps in stands. EB was biggest store there and that was empty.
We met Admin on our way out and decided that actually snowHeads has most things you could want from a ski show, info in particular

I had a very enjoyable day in London yesterday.
My young lady & I managed to get tickets from Ben on the Japan Ski Experience stand but I would have been happy to pay to get in if needed.

Met Admin for a brief chat.
The usual suspects in terms of exhibitors with a much reduced retail presence.
Spoke with some very passionate and interesting people on the Norway, Argentina, Verbier, Abruzzo and US resorts stands.
Also had great info from the Armada, Liberty, Head and Rossignol guys.
Eddie the Eagle, Konrad Bartelski and Chris Davenport in attendance.
Plenty of wine, vodka and cheese samples.
Purchase of the day was the Optrix casing for the i-phone 4 or newer and i-pod touch which turns it into a wide angle HD video recording device. £80

Mike Pow, must have just missed you Was there in the afternoon, and had a chat with Ben and with Matt on the Head stand. There was quite a technology theme to the show, with lots of helmetcam people selling their wares.

Shame.
Yeah saw at least half a dozen if not more selling helmet cam, gps, etc

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Do they do an Ipad version? I'd look so cool with that on my head going the slope lol

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

Yeah wearing an i-phone on your head is a bit OTT, but hand held with a wrist leash or on the end of a pole mount is doable.
But £80 for a tough, waterproof case for your phone which also gives you widescreen HD recording, instant playback without the need for wi-fi or bluetooth or additional kit, and then the capability to share seemed too good a trick to miss.

 You know it makes sense.

Mike Pow, That's awesome - looking forward to thousands of goons with iPhones on their heads saying "is it on yet". lLooking at the website it also comes with a sled.

So combine that, with the heads up display (I know they're not really heads up display) goggles and a live feed to a single app on the phone and you could be really clever.
Could be worse all us tellytubbiess could be wearing one of these http://www.rotormount.com/RotoR/home.html

Looks goofy as all hell but goddamn it's a million times better than the greylight POV footage all over the interweb.

If I could actually ski well and didn't want to look like a bit of a plonker I would probably give it a go. Note - I mean more than my usual level of looking like a plonker
