How to adjust MOD10 bindings? |
Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi
I need some help. I bought some skis for my wife and I don't know how to adjust the bindings settings. I mean, I know how to (just turn the screw) but I don't know how would the values relate to skier's height/weight. Can anybody please give me any tips?
Thanks,
Dan

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Were they new /2nd hand and set for boot sole length and forward pressure adjusted?

If you need to adjust the sole length twist the lower screw on the rear cassette to unlock and then slide the whole unit off the plate (towards the rear). Flip it over and you'll see numbers relating to the sole length - move front and rear accordingly, slide back onto ski and re-lock.
AFNOR DIN charts for women here: http://www.bobski.com/safety/french_binding_system_Female.pdf
I believe these ones have a fine-adjustment screw to indicate forward pressure - it should be flush in its housing.
It's a simple system and calculation but the best advice is to go to a ski shop and get it done properly.
