@andyrew, If you exceed 2hrs but do not stay for 24 hrs you will be charged a hourly rate. Probably about €10 for the 4/5 hrs.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Another beautiful day in the EK. Firm pistes this morning which soon turned a little softer in the bright sunshine & soft bumps later in the day. A few high level clouds in the morning to spoil it for @Mark1863, but for the rest of us I am sure it was just a prefect day ;-) Looking forward to more sunshine tomorrow :~/

Rain has started. Lasted about 10 minutes, so not a problem Do the gurus think we will have anything to ski on in a week or so? Why not :~/ The pistes are all based on artificial snow which takes a lot of warm weather to make it disappear.

Last week was one of the best weeks of the season in Tignes :~/ Great weather, snowfall Sunday, 10-20cm of new snow mid week & fantastic skiing, both on & off piste. Hopefully next week will be just as good :~/ Not sure where the thread is about skiing down to Brev on the 8th April but there is no problem :P

The clouds will eventually clear overnight to leave a great day tomorrow The clouds cleared by 1.00pm ;-) and gave us a beautiful afternoon. Blue skies, fresh powder & some great skiing we didn't expect :D A little know fact is that Tignes has more snowfall in April than December :~/
You know it makes sense.

@Weathercam, Do not worry come to the Espace killy. I have been out this morning and placed one blue piste marker in Tignes Le Breviere, one at the top of Grand Motte and one at the top of Val D glacier. So now everything is on piste and a Blue run ;-)
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Any news from the British Championships today? @stewart woodward, Some French guy was fastest, some Brit guy came third but Brit champ. The important races start next week ;-) Personally I went to Megeve to watch the 'Coq de Or' finals. About 700 French kids, competing on 4 different courses, to become French champion. the best u12 boy was Flavio Vitall, from Tignes, who won both the combi & GS race. Luca Carrick-Smith fell in the combi but was 3rd overall in the GS race. They have both qualified for today's dual slalom final.

@chocksaway, It is the Delancey British National Alpine Championships in Tignes this week and next, so the Lognan Stade is full of Union Jack Lycra! Lots of Lycra clad French World Cup racers also about competing in the speed races. Our own world Cup racer Dave Ryding will be competing in the slalom Friday. Well worth a watch if you are about. @intermediate, @swiftoid, make sure you pack sun tan lotion, it is hot at the moment :D

Great conditions this morning. A good freeze overnight, which firmed up the pistes, and wall to wall sunshine to enjoy the snow. @Mark1863, Def still worth coming out. It will be busy for the next couple of weeks due to school holidays then the resort will be super quiet :D
Then you'll get to see more forums.

@Mark1863, the offpiste risk yesterday was 4/5 although if we have the forecast weather this week it will soon drop to 2/5. Yesterday it was very heavy and deep so all lines were virtually straight. After recent incidents the pisters were taking no chances, delaying opening times and blasting everything that looked iffy.

Loads of snow overnight :D :D Looks like about 40 cm on the poubelles and still snowing lightly. Not sure about freezing level. Last night it was raining in Tignes 1800 at 20.00hrs, hopefully the freezing level dropped a little :~/

May not be the right thread so apologies, but is the current snow cover looking supportive of the resort staying open until 1st May as predicted on the website? Considering a final bank holiday weekend foray to top the year off, but unsure how likely it is that we will be able to ski. Tignes closes on the 8th May 2017. The EK links close on the 1st may 2017. Normally lots of snow cover until well past these dates. The current snow cover is looking good to provide skiing until these dates.
