The chances are, if you're here, that you rather like snow Maybe you're planning your first ever ski holiday or maybe u spend all Summer planning ski holidays (and all Winter sniffing out an extra little bargain ski-trip too ) The members of snowHeads, between them, must have skied and snowboarded just about everywhere. From solo skiers short of a ski buddy this season to organisers of ski-parties of all sizes, from absolute beginners to instructors and even ex-olympians, every snowHead has a question and everyone has an answer for someone.
From "What's the best ski insurance package?" to "Where's the best powder?" and from "How I survived the snowtrain" to "Ryanair ate my hampster", whether you ski, snowboard, blade or just build snowmen (just?!), someone at snowHeads knows something that can help you and the chances are you'll know something that can help someone else too.
So, although there's lots you can read as a guest, the only way to get the best from snowHeads is to register and login. This allows you to view more of the forums, see who's taking part in the discussion and post your own questions and comments.
Basically, it opens snowHeads up to you, turning snowHeads.com 'that skiing web site' into snowHeads the Ski Club
Welcome to snowHeads! |

| Study suggests helmets do not increase neck injuries Posted on:08-05 at 12:08 |
New research from Canada suggests that wearing a helmet does not increase the risk of neck injuries among skiers and snowboarders. About 3,000 people with neck injuries were included in the study, of whom around a quarter were wearing a helmet at the time of their accident. When accounting for factors such as skill, terrain and weather conditions, the researchers found there seemed to be no evidence that the extra weight of a helmet increased the risk of neck injuries during skiing accidents. This held true even in young children, whose disproportionately large heads might make them more susceptible to neck injuries ... :: Read more
